This Cooperative, located in the valley of the Mira River, between the northern provinces of
Carchi and Imbabura involves 6 producing families. This is a project that has a positive
impact on the local society and environment in times when Ecuador faces big challenges.
Their values are to preserve the local biodiversity and provide a sustainable livelihood for the
families involved. They do this through integrating coffee cultivation with natural habitats
and empowering local farmers ensuring fair prices for their coffee.
